a 16s cinematic fragrance film for jean paul gaultier’s fleur du mâle: a sculpted white torso bottle emerging from liquid milk, a dark plum flower and a single figure of polished ebony, in a world of black, white and chrome.
for this personal project, the goal was to build a luxury perfume campaign, from the first reference photo to the final edit, using generative AI workflows to reach a high-end advertising look.
the challenge was to keep one iconic product perfectly consistent across the whole film: the glossy white glass, the mirror-chrome cap, the cord and the engraved medallion, while keeping a poetic, slow and sensual tone from the first drop of milk to the last frame.
the project
• started from the official campaign photos and a few product shots, and used them as visual references to define the universe: milk, sculpture, skin, a single dark flower, a restrained palette of white, black and chrome with one plum accent.
• built a product reference sheet in higgsfield: front, back, profile and close-up views of the bottle on a neutral background, to lock the shape, the chrome cap and the medallion lettering before any shot was generated.
• built a structured storyboard pipeline with claude: the story broken into a 15-panel sheet with shot types, timecodes and scene notes, then generated as a storyboard sheet in higgsfield to fix the rhythm and camera language before animation.
• generated and directed the video in higgsfield, using the product sheet and the storyboard as references so the bottle, the flower and the model stay consistent through every shot.
• finished the edit in premiere pro, assembling and mixing several generated clips into one continuous film, with a fade to black on the final packshot.
key learning
a clean product reference sheet is the foundation of AI product films: once the bottle is locked from every angle, the storyboard and the animation can stay faithful to it from the first shot to the last.
